for those who dont know what a crosstalk is, its basically another wlm revival service like escargot
you see, i joined crosstalk a few days back, and i enjoyed it!, but then a lil issue popped up with this addon called messenger plus, i had this issue since a while back even before i joined crosstalk and used escargot, at first i thought it was a issue with escargot but now seeing it was also affecting crosstalk, i had to do smth
i asked through the support channel, but never got a response, like at all, so naturally i started asking in general for help, but never got a response there either, and then i kinda spoke up like "wtf can you guys fr help me its been days already, and i have tried EVERYTHING, im out of options, im tired AF, i've googled and googled and yet no solution, so i ask again, how the FUCK does one install messenger plus" [i was kinda tired as it was midnight so my attitude wasnt the best and i admit it i may have been a lil too insistent]
the response i got?
"cut it the fuck out, jeez, we got lives, be p a t i e n t"
"we got lives, maybe you should get one as well!" [this was from the owner of the entire thing btw]
like dude all i was asking was for help, i may have been a lil too insistent before but i thought i was being ignored so thats why i kept asking
anyways they told me i should go to sleep and then look for a solution the next day so i did exactly that, went to sleep
the next day i eventually figured out the issue was windhawk messing with the installation somehow [i use revert8plus, a windows 7 skin for windows 10 which does need windhawk], so i made exceptions for both the installer AND wlm, it worked but then crashed, but then i fixed it by using another version of messenger plus!
so the issue was solved, went to another channel there, which was the msn messenger one and i saw that a few people were discussing music plugins, right? i saw someone mention this thing called foobar2000, i naturally asked "what's that?" and the owner of the server literally just said "use the google machine and you'll find out" [clearly a sarcastic comment]
like, what's wrong with asking?, so i said "god forbid someone is curious about something, i'll google it then" anyways after that i kinda went afk for a bit, and when i came back, I WAS BANNED?
i was confused, i didnt break any rules as far as i knew, maybe the messenger thing was too much, idk, it was one time tried using WLM, it never connected, i wasnt only banned off from the discord, but the service itself too
so i told one of my friends to like, go to the server and ask why was i banned, he did that and apparently i was being a "nuisance" and thats why they banned me when my friend asked them to elaborate they didnt, and he then told me this, i said "i didnt mean to be a nuisance, maybe i did act like one but it wasnt intentional, all i wanted was to chill out in wlm and such!", he told them this and they just, banned him, the reason? "no"
so to recap, i had an issue, i made a support ticket, never got a response, started asking around the server for help, didnt get any, got a lil bit angry cuz i wasnt getting a response, was told to get a life, solved the issue on my own, asked about what was foobar2000 in a unrelated conversation, just got a sarcastic comment coming from the owner, told them that i was just being curious, and then got banned off from the entire service even tho i didnt break any rules even when i was mad, i didnt disrespect anyone, i didnt send anything weird, i was just kinda tired of waiting for so long for a response, and when my friend tried appealing for me as i couldn't join the discord cuz i was banned, they told him i was being a nuisance and then when he asked if i could get unbanned as i didnt mean to, he also got banned
am i in the wrong here??, or is it unfair that i got banned?
anyways im back using escargot, as its the only other service that has a working WLM 2009 client, hoping the service doesnt shut down cuz it aint looking good for them recently :(
